Our Team

Jen Franklin Kearns

Jen Franklin Kearns, Social Media Analyst, joined the ds-connex team in January 2014, bringing with her many years of experience as a Buddy Walk® Team Captain. Since 2004, Team Alex has been a top fundraising team for the Columbus Buddy Walk®. Honoring Jen’s oldest son, Team Alex serves not only as a means for raising awareness and funding for Down syndrome, but also as a way to celebrate Alex’s achievements and to promote inclusion. As Social Media Analyst, Jen will contribute to the ds-connex blog, assist in the creation of social media content, and provide training and customer support to Down syndrome walk event coordinators utilizing the Stride fundraising solution. Jen resides in the Columbus area with her husband, three children, and dog.

She is a self proclaimed data nerd who is working to help us deploy our new analysis tool, Logi Analytics, to all of our walk partners. Jena fills most of her free time by advocating for adoption and rescue from local dog shelters. She is at her happiest at adoption events, walking shelter dogs, and helping plan fundraisers.

Mike Boyers

Mike is the software engineer that makes everything happen for our Stride sites. He has a nifty, color-changing tumbler that he uses to broadcast his mood to the rest of the office. Mike has one daughter who will be attending Ohio University, his Alma Mater, this Fall. He is also an avid healthy snacker. If someone in the office puts an apple or goat’s milk on Mike’s self-claimed shelf in the fridge, he will move it, vocally expressing his displeasure. Mike is a dude.
